The case was initiated as Gariahat P.S. Case No. 154 of 2019 dated 21.06.2019 under Sections 406/120B of the IPC. Charge-sheet was also submitted under the same sections.

Consequently, there has been compromise between the parties and it is reflected from the statement of Bharati Chowdhury that she has received all the gold ornaments

and, as such, she do not intend to pursue with the present case.

Having regard to the change of circumstances, I am of the opinion that further continuance of Gariahat P.S. Case No. 154 of 2019 dated 21.06.2019 under Sections 406/120B of the IPC corresponding to CGR No. 2053 of 2019 pending before the Learned JM, 4th Court, Alipore is hereby quashed. With the above observations, CRR 3197 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.
