1. Pursuant to the earlier direction, the statement of the victim has been recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

2. It appears from the statement of the lady that she on her own volition is residing with the present petitioners and she has given the reasons for her staying with the present petitioners. The statements are exonerating in nature.

3. In view thereof, we are of the view that custodial interrogation of the petitioners is not necessary.

4. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioners, namely, Manasi Bera @ Manisha Bera and Rakesh Chandra Bera respectively shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.2,000/- each, with one registered surety, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section Signed By :

438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, corresponding to Section 482(2) of the BNSS, 2023.

5. The petitioner no.2 shall meet the Investigating Officer as and when required and the petitioner no.1 shall cooperate with the investigation till submission of the final report.

6. It is further directed that the present accused petitioners shall appear before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate at Alipore within two weeks from date.

7. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is disposed of.
