The petitioner is a primary school teacher. She seeks transfer. Her minor daughter who was suffering from severe respiratory ailments expired on 16th February, 2024. She is suffering mental distress and it is becoming difficult for her to travel 150 kms. to attend school.

Representation was made before the Secretary of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education in July, 2024 which is pending consideration.

Without going into the merit of the representation filed by the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Secretary of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education to consider the representation filed by the petitioner sympathetically with a human touch and dispose of the same at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward all documents in support of the prayer of the petitioner to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
