Report submitted by Ms. Basu, learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The present case was initiated as Ketugram Police Station Case No.482 of 2023 dated 22.06.2023 under Sections 498A/406/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the D.P.Act.

During pendency of the revisional application, a joint compromise application was filed by the petitioners as well as the private opposite party no.2.

The report reflects that the private opposite party no.2 is presently staying at a matrimonial home and is not willing to proceed with the present case which arose out of matrimonial discord.

Having regard to the changed circumstances and the larger interest of the society, I am of the opinion that further continuance of Ketugram Police Station Case No.482 of 2023 dated 22.06.2023, G.R. Case No.1121 of 2023 is unwarranted and, as such all offences registered under Sections 498A/406/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the D.P. Act presently pending before the learned ACJM, Katwa, Purba Bardhaman be hereby quashed.

Consequently, CRR 3205 of 2023 along with CRAN 1 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending any other applications, if any, are disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
