CRR No. 3588 of 2024 In Re: Sri Swapan Chatterjee @ Swapan Chattopadhyay Mr. Indranuj Dutta ... For the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of G.R. Case no. 670 of 2013 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd Court, Chandernagore, Hooghly, the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

It appears that the case is pending since 2013 and out of 10 witnesses 5 witnesses have been examined in full and further crossexamination of CSW no. 6 is in progress. Considering the age of the proceeding, learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The revisional application is disposed of.
