Zeeshanuz Zaman .....For the Petitioner Mr. Jayanta Samanta Ms. Saswati Chatterjee .....For the State The petitioner alleges that the police authorities have not taken any step on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner vide letter dated 16th July, 2024. The learned advocate appearing for the State submits that on the basis of the said complaint dated 16th July, 2024 the petitioner was called for an enquiry to appear before the police authorities but he did not turn up. Thereafter the petitioner submitted a fresh complaint dated 1st August, 2024 and on the basis of such complaint Mongalkote Police Station case no. 188 of 2024 dated 1st August, 2024 under Section 115(2)/303(2)/329(3)/351(2) and 3(5) BNS 2023 has been registered and the investigation is in progress.

The report of the Mongalkote Police Station dated 27th August, 2024 filed in court today is taken on record. Since the FIR has been registered on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner and the investigation is in progress, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the concerned Investigating Officer to conclude the investigation and take all consequential steps thereupon.

In the event, the petitioner is not satisfied with the progress of the investigation, it will be open to the

petitioner to approach the jurisdictional court in accordance with law.

With the above observation and direction, the writ petitioner stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties after completion of all necessary formalities.
