Petitioner is in custody for 98 days. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. He submits petitioner is the father of the minor and had sexually abused her.

We have considered the materials on record including the statement of the minor victim. She has implicated her father i.e. the petitioner in the offence of penetrative sexual assault. In view of gravity of offence, we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
