Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner's father was an Assistant Teacher who died-in-harness on 11th November, 2020. Prayer was made due to untimely death of father of the petitioner for providing appointment on compassionate ground to the school where father of the petitioner was working based on which authority of Salar Edward Zakariah High/H.S. School, Murshidabad forwarded the prayer to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Murshidabad being respondent no.3 to take steps.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that till date no decision has been taken by the respondent no.3.

State respondents are represented by learned advocate who has submitted since the issue is pending before the respondent no.3 after it was forwarded by the aforesaid school authority vide letter dated 19th July, 2022, decision is required to be taken, in accordance with law by the said respondent no.3.

Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, respondent no.3 is directed to decide the application made for appointment on compassionate ground by six (6) weeks from the date of communication of this order. Decision to be taken by the respondent no.3 is to be communicated to the petitioner by fortnight thereafter.

With the above directions writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
