Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the renewal of the passport of the petitioner has been withheld due to alleged pendency of a lookout circular against him by the CID.

It appears from the report and is also submitted by the learned counsel for the State that the lookout circular issued against the petitioner has been recalled on 11th August, 2023.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that since there is no lookout circular against the petitioner at present, there is no impediment for renewal of the passport of the petitioner subject to compliance of all formalities by him.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
