1. Petitioners pray for quashing of the impugned proceeding.

2. I have examined the impugned FIR. In the FIR it is alleged on 04.05.2022 husband with the assistance of the petitioners i.e. the in-laws physically assaulted the victim and tried to throttle her. Uncontroverted allegations in the impugned FIR prima facie disclose participation of the petitioners in the crime. No jurisdictional error in instituting the criminal proceeding is made out. It is open to the petitioners to agitate their defence at the appropriate stage of the proceeding in accordance with law, if so advised.

3. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 3600 of 2024 is disposed of.

4. Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the petitioners on usual undertaking.
