The writ petitioners complain of alleged inaction by Nalhati Police Station in respect of acts and omissions by the private respondents. Admittedly, T. S. No. 73 of 2018 is pending before the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Second Court at Rampurhat, Birbhum in which an order of status quo has been passed.

The Nalhati Police have been directed to file a report which has not been done till date.

In those circumstances, the O. C., Nalhati Police Station shall file a report before the said Civil Court as regards the compliance of the order of status quo by the private respondents. On the allegation of assault on the petitioners and their family members, Nalhati P. S. Case No. 221 of 2020 dated 12.11.2020 has been registered. The reports of injuries to the writ petitioner are annexed to the writ petition.

In those circumstances, the O. C., Nalhati Police Station shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area and the order of status quo or any further orders that the civil court may pass, is strictly complied with by the parties.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
