Heard learned Advocates appearing for the parties. It appears from record that petitioner has made a representation on 8th May, 2023, before the respondent authority concerned for amendment of Bill of Entry in question.

Mr. Bhattacharya, learned Advocate appearing for the respondents opposes this writ petition by contending that this writ petition should not be entertained for inordinate delay in making claim of such relief, which relates to the year 2013.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submission of the parties this writ petition being WPA 20741 of 2023, is disposed of by directing the respondents authority concerned to consider and dispose of the aforesaid representation in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the

petitioner or his authorised representative and while disposing of such representation the respondent authority concerned shall be free to consider as to whether the aforesaid claim made by the petitioner is barred under any law. Such representation shall be disposed of by the respondent authority concerned within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.
