Order dictated by Arijit Banerjee, J.:

The petitioner renews his prayer for bail which was rejected earlier on merits on December 22, 2023. He says that he is in custody for one year three months and ten days. The charge is yet to be framed.

Opposing the prayer for bail, learned Advocate for the State tells us that November 20, 2024 has been fixed as the date for consideration of charge.

We find there are 13 charge sheet named witnesses. Prima facie we find sufficient incriminating material against the petitioner. We are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.

However, considering that the petitioner is in custody for quite some time, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent and conclude the same at an early date. 5.

The application for bail is, accordingly, dismissed.
