It is contended by the petitioner that a construction of road is being carried out on his land by the Purba Medinipur Zilla Parishad although no consent was taken from him. Nor was the land acquired by the authorities. The petitioner has made a representation in this regard dated 21st August, 2023. The same has not been decided yet.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits as follows. Upon instructions it is submitted that no work is going on at the place at present. The representation was received by the concerned authorities on 21st August, 2023 itself.

In view of the above, the respondent no. 2 shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 21st August, 2023 in this regard in accordance with law and upon giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner

and other interested partites, within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. The decision shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereafter.

Till the decision is communicated to the petitioner, no further construction shall be undertaken on the petitioner's land in question.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
