Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of GR Case No.201 of 2020 pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate (presently redesignated as Judicial Magistrate), 19th Court, Calcutta the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite parties.

The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This Court is informed that charge was framed on 6th December, 2021. None out of seven charge sheeted witnesses has been examined till date.

In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is directed to dispose of the case pending before him as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two years from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 3607 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
