1. Petitioner is the father of the minor victim. He contends there is inordinate delay in disposal of the present case.

2. Ms. Amita Gaur, learned Advocate who ordinarily appears for the State is requested to appear for the State. Let a copy of the petition be served upon Ms. Gaur in course of the day. Learned Public Prosecutor is directed to regularize her appointment.

3. I have considered the materials on record. Criminal proceeding, inter alia, under Section 6 of POCSO Act was instituted in May, 2023. Charge has not yet been framed.

4. Under such circumstances, I direct the trial court to consider the issue of framing of charge at the earliest and in the event charge is framed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion at the earliest by fixing short schedules for examination of witnesses and conclude the same at an early date bearing in mind the mandate under Section 35(2) of the POCSO Act.

5. With this direction, CRR 3620 of 2024 is disposed of. (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
