The Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Division, Kolkata has filed a report and the same is taken on record. Lapses have been found against SI Sabitabrata Chatterjee and L/SI Sunita Paul who have been censured by the appointing authority. Further a case being FIR No.148 dated 23rd November 2022 under Sections 284, 427, 34 of the IPC has been registered.

It is ordered that the investigation into the said FIR and those others already registered be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from date.

Since the parties have already instituted civil proceedings, they may agitate their grievances before the Civil Court in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since the respondents have not used any affidavits, the allegations made in the writ petition, shall not be deemed to have been admitted by them.
