1. Heard learned Advocates for both the parties.

2. Huge quantity of Buprenorphine injection ampoules was allegedly recovered from the possession of this petitioner.

3. In view of commercial quantity of contraband items being involved and the restrictions in Section 37 of the NDPS Act, 1985, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail. Hence, the prayer for bail is rejected.

4. The application being CRM (NDPS) 1335 of 2024 is accordingly dismissed.

5. However, the petitioner is in custody for more than one year. Witness action has not yet begun. We are told that there are 16 charge-sheet named witnesses.

6. We direct the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial as much as possible and conclude the same at an early date but positively within a year from the next date fixed for recording Signed By :

of evidence, without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
