1. Instruction forwarded by the Officer-in-Charge Hingalganj Police Station filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas under the Arms Act, 1959 in the year 2021.

3. The petitioner intends to prefer an appeal against the same but cannot do so allegedly because certified copy of the said order was not provided despite application being made for the same.

4. On a perusal of the annexures it appears that, though there is a photo copy of an application for obtaining certified copy, but there is no proof of submitting the said application before the authority.

5. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas to provide the certified copy of the order(s)/documents as sought for to the petitioner provided there is a proper application in place. In the

event no application is found in the records of the District Magistrate, then the petitioner will file a fresh application for obtaining certified copy.

6. If the application for certified copy is in order, then certified copy shall be provided to the applicant immediately thereafter.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
