The petitioners are the Assistant Teachers at different primary schools under 24Parganas (South) District Primary School Council.

The petitioners are praying 'A' category scale of pay as they had completed their training qualification for one year PTTI and one year Bridge Course before joining.

Mr. Biswas, learned advocate for the petitioners submits that similarly placed teachers are getting the benefit of 'A' category scale of pay.

He prays that the issue may be relegated to the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 2 herein, for consideration.

The respondent no. 2 is directed to consider the prayer of the petitioner for 'A' category scale of pay in accordance with law and to facilitate such consideration, the petitioners are directed supply the complete copy of the writ petition to the respondent no. 2.

W.P.A. 21410 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents. Parties to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
