Mr. Saptarshi Roy Ms. Kakali Das Chakraborty ..for the petitioner Mr. Arijit Bakshi ..for the respondents It appears that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated August 20, 2025, before the appropriate Railway Authority, seeking revival of the Wagon Investment Scheme (WIS) rake.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Union of India submits that the petitioner's representation is presently under active consideration by the Railway Authority.

In view of the above, I do not find any justification to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon respondent no. 5, namely, the Chief Commercial Manager (Finance Freight and Marketing), South Eastern Railway, to consider the petitioner's representation appearing at page 88 of the writ

petition, within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

The petitioner shall be afforded an opportunity of hearing, and a reasoned order shall be passed within the aforesaid period.

Accordingly, WPA 20880 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
