Hafiz Ali ....for the respondent nos.10-12 The petitioner states that the petitioner and the private respondents are co-sharers of a water body being dag no.567 within Mouza-Jahangirpur under Police Station-Khargram in the District of Murshidabad. The petitioner alleges that the respondent authorities have not taken any steps for restoration of the water body to its original condition in spite of a complaint being lodged with such authority.

The learned advocate appearing for the private respondents denies the allegation of the petitioner. He submits that the water body has been restored to its original condition. He files the copy of the order sheet of a proceeding under Section 4(c) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, which is taken on record.

After going through the said order sheet this Court finds that the water body has been restored to its actual status and such fact has been corroborated by the concerned Revenue Inspector and recording such fact the

proceeding was disposed of by an order dated July 22, 2025.

In view thereof, nothing remains to be decided in this writ petition. Accordingly, the same stands disposed of.

In the event, the water body has not been restored to its original condition or fresh steps for filling up the same is taken, it will be open to the petitioner to bring to the notice of the concerned authority such fact and if the concerned authority is approached such authority shall take steps in accordance with law.

There will be no order as to costs.
