The petitioner seeks an electricity connection for the operation of a submersible pump set. It is submitted that the petitioner shall complete all necessary formalities, including the construction of a meter room and the required boring work.

WBSEDCL shall conduct an inspection of the site, and if it is found that all formalities have been duly complied with, the electricity connection shall be provided to the petitioner, subject to resolution of any way-leave issues, if applicable.

In view of the foregoing, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to WBSEDCL to effect the electricity connection in favour of the petitioner within

a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of compliance with all requisite formalities.

Accordingly, WPA 20889 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
