Ms. Chandana Ghosh ..for the petitioner Mr. Sankar Banerjee ..for WBSEDCL The writ petitioner seeks a permanent electricity connection for his submersible pump set.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, although the petitioner has been provided with a temporary electricity connection, he now seeks conversion to a permanent connection.

Conversely, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that, pursuant to the application number referenced in paragraph 3 of the writ petition, a permanent electricity connection was granted to the petitioner in the year 2019. Since then, the petitioner has been availing himself of uninterrupted electricity supply and has been regularly paying the associated bills.

In support of this claim, counsel for WBSEDCL has produced a copy of the electricity bill issued for the month of March 2025.

Let the bill submitted by WBSEDCL be kept on record.

Upon perusal of the bill, it appears that, in connection with the application mentioned in paragraph 3 of the writ petition, the petitioner has indeed been provided with a permanent electricity connection.

Though the learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner prays for installation of a separate transformer for his submersible pump set, there is no such pleading in this writ petition.

Accordingly, WPA 20896 of 2025 is dismissed.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
