The petitioner's son is a successful candidate of the Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Education), 2025. 2.

The candidate has also availed of the Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS), available to him. However, presently he seeks revaluation of his marks in the Life Science, Bengali and History papers. There is no cogent ground as to why he seeks revaluation.

In any event, as submitted by Mrs. Koyeli Bhattacharyya, learned Advocate appearing for the respondent nos.2 to 4 (West Bengal Board of Secondary Education), revaluation by a successful candidate is not available as stipulated in Regulation 14 of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Examination Regulations, 2002.

Thus, there is no right vested upon the petitioner's son, which has been infracted. The petitioner's son, being a successful candidate, is not entitled to seek revaluation and at best can seek Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS), which has already been done.

In view of the afore-stated, the prayers made in the petition seeking revaluation in the afore-stated papers by the mother of the candidate cannot be allowed as there is no provision in law to permit such revaluation by a successful candidate.

In view of the afore-stated, the writ petition fails and is accordingly, dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
