The affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record.

The petitioner was issued a stage carriage permit for operating his bus on the route from Bitra to Memari. The permit was granted on 24th July, 2025, with a validity period of five years. Subsequent to the issuance of the permit, a provisional timetable was issued on the same date for the petitioner's operation.

The provisional timetable was for a period of thirty days from the date of issuance.

Mr. Roy, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, submits that even after the expiry of the validity period of the provisional timetable, the concerned authority has not issued any revised timetable, causing serious prejudice to the petitioner.

Mr. Sen, learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, submits that the Regional

Transport Authority, Burdwan, has received some objections regarding the provisional timetable, which has delayed the issuance of a revised timetable.

In view of the foregoing, there is no necessity to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, I direct the Regional Transport Authority, Burdwan, to permit the petitioner to continue plying vehicles in accordance with the provisional timetable for a further period of two months from the date of this order.

During this period, the Authority shall consider and hear any objections received in relation to the provisional timetable and, if necessary, issue a revised timetable in accordance with law.

The petitioner shall be given an opportunity of hearing before the Regional Transport Authority in connection with the revision of the timetable. The Authority is directed to allow the petitioner to deal with objections received concerning the provisional timetable.

In light of the above, the writ petition being WPA 20830 of 2025 is disposed of.
