1. Petitioner contends she is not the drawer of the cheque and cannot be prosecuted under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

2. I find trial is in progress. In view of the aforesaid fact, I give liberty to the petitioner to agitate her defence before the trial court in accordance with law. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within six months from the date of communication of this order.

3. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 3642 of 2024 is disposed of.

4. Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the petitioner on usual undertaking.
