Petitioner is in custody for 117 days. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner who is the brother-in-law of the victim had made indecent proposals when the victim resisted. She was violently assaulted.

In view of the incriminating materials on record and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
