For the petitioners The present contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the judgment dated 9th May, 2024 passed in a writ petition being WPA 19219 of 2019. Having heard the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners, I am of the view that, before taking any decision on this application, an opportunity of hearing should be afforded to the alleged contemnor.

In view thereof, the petitioners are directed to serve a copy of this contempt application upon the alleged contemnor and to file an affidavit of service on the returnable date.

List the matter for further consideration three weeks hence.

It is clarified that pendency of this contempt application shall not prevent the alleged contemnor in complying with the judgment dated 9th May, 2024. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
