Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is of advanced age. The husband of the victim is in custody. The victim was alive for a considerable period of time. The victim did not implicate the petitioner. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that the petitioner and the sister-in-law of the victim stand implicated on the basis of the materials available in the case diary.

The death occurred within one and half years of marriage. There are materials in the case diary implicating the petitioner amongst others.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (A) 4453 of 2022 is dismissed.
