1. The legal representation filed on behalf of the petitioner alleging illegal filling up of a water body is pending consideration for a considerable period of time.

2. None appears on behalf of the State respondents.

3. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

4. Without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, Sonarpur Block Road, Mission Pally, Narendrapur, Kolkata 700027 being the respondent no. 4 herein to consider and dispose of the legal representation dated 24th May, 2024 filed on behalf of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

5. A spot enquiry shall be conducted to ascertain proper facts. If any illegality is detected then remedial measures

shall be taken to restore the water body to its original state.

6. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the legal representation along with all supporting documents to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
