The present revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of ACM Case No. 680 of 2021 under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure which is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Alipore.

It has been contended on behalf of the petitioner that till date her application for interim maintenance is pending. Such application was filed in the year 2021. The next date has been fixed by the learned trial court on 07.10.2023. Having regard to the stretch of time which has lapsed since filing of the application for interim maintenance, I direct the learned Judicial Magistrate to conclude the hearing of the application for interim maintenance on 07.10.2023, continue the hearing, if required and final verdict in respect of interim maintenance should be passed on or before 17.10.2023. Thereafter, the learned Magistrate would fix at least one date in a month so that trial of the main case is concluded within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 3264 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
