Mr. Tamal Taru Panda ... for the State-respondent(s) Re The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of furnishing information with the Officer-in-charge of Egra Police Station for demolition of the illegal and unauthorized construction of the godown for smooth usages of the pathway, the police authorities did not respond to the same.

Learned advocate for the State is present and submits that the police authorities without any specific directions are not in a position to take steps in respect of demolition of any illegal and unauthorised construction.

The representation referred to is of 03.07.2023. More than 20 months have passed since such representation was submitted with the police authorities. If the petitioner is facing with the same inconveniences till date, the petitioner will file a fresh representation before the Egra Police Station and the concerned police authorities would act in accordance with law.

In the meantime, the police authorities would also oversee that over such usages of the pathway, there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility as also no untoward incident results because of the inimical relationship existing between the petitioner and the private respondents.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 20919 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of.
