College Service Commission Learned counsel for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is a resident of Kolkata and is presently working in Asansol as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Banwarilal Bhalotia College, Asansol, Paschim Burdwan. She has two school-going children who are studying in Kolkata. She has to take care of them and their studies. In view of this, she had prayed for general transfer to any college in Kolkata. In fact, she has made repeated representations in this regard to the concerned authorities, but the same have not been responded to.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that in the event any representation for seeking transfer is pending consideration with the concerned State respondents, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

The West Bengal College Service Commission is also represented.

It appears that representations of the petitioner seeking transfer are pending consideration before the

Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal i.e. the respondent no.2.

In view of the above, let the respondent no.2 consider the representation dated 20.03.2024 made by the petitioner seeking transfer, in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. Within a week from the date of such consideration the petitioner shall be intimated about the outcome. Soon thereafter the order shall be communicated to the West Bengal College Service Commission as well.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent Xerox certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on urgent basis after completion of all formalities.
