Petitioner is in custody for 466 days. It is submitted there is slow progress in the trial of the case. Co-accuseds are on bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. He submits stolen articles were recovered from the petitioner.

We have considered the materials on record. Stolen articles i.e. gold ornaments were recovered from the petitioner. He does not stand on the same footing with co-accuseds who are on bail. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on 6th May, 2022. Trial is in progress.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Trial court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
