Mr. Samiran Mondal, Mr. Abhinaba Dan .......for the petitioners Mr. Arka Kumar Nag ...for the State The petitioners are aggrieved that the Commissioner of Police, Kolkata has not considered their application for peaceful demonstration at the foot of Rani Rashmoni More. The petitioners are those who have unsuccessfully applied for recruitment to the post of Primary Teaches under the DPSC, South 24 Parganas.

In the above circumstances, since the time specified by the petitioners in the representation has expired even before consideration, the Commissioner of Police, Kolkata shall permit the petitioners to hold a demonstration for a period at either Rani Rashmoni More or the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, on any terms and conditions that may be specified in accordance with the applicable rules and in accordance with the

similar permission allowed to other similarly situated persons.

Let a decision be taken by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, within a period of 3 days from date.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
