1. Petitioner is the sole accused. The case was registered in 2019 and is pending till now. He prays for expeditious disposal of the case.

2. Mr. Balial, learned advocate empanelled with the State is requested to appear in the matter.

3. Copy of the petition is served upon him

4. I have considered the materials on record. From the order sheet I note charge was framed in 2023 and recording of prosecution evidence is in progress.

5. Petitioner contends in the meantime he has been selected for appointment to a public post but due to pendency of the case he could not be appointed. This gives rise to an exceptional situation which requires this court to exercise superintendence jurisdiction and direct the trial judge to conclude the case at an early date.

6. Accordingly, I direct the learned trial judge to conduct the trial on day-to-day basis subject to the pendency in his file and conclude the same at an early date preferably within six months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties
