1. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been politically victimized as he is a supporter of the political party in opposition in the State. He has not been involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the statements of the victim who had categorically taken the name of the petitioner as the one who used to forge documents for money. Reliance is also placed on a letter written by the Assistant Director, Block Land and Land Reforms Office, Jangipara dated 01.08.2025 in this regard.

3. Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.

5. Personal appearance of the Investigating Officer is noted and is dispensed with.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
