The petitioner alleges that the police authorities have not taken any steps excepting registration of a First Information Report being Raghunathganj P.S. Case No. 840 of 2024 dated July 6, 2024 under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned advocate for the State files a report of the Inspector-in-Charge, Raghunathganj Police Station dated September 2, 2024, which is taken on record.

After going through the said report, this Court finds that upon thorough searching one witness, who noticed the deceased alone before the incident near the place of occurrence was found. His 161 Cr.P.C. statement was recorded. It further appears that 164 Cr.P.C. statement has also been recorded. The copy of the 'surathal' report of the

deceased, CDR report of the deceased have also been noticed. The report further states that steps are being taken to record the 164 Cr.P.C. statement of the complainant. After going through the report, this Court finds that the investigation is in progress.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Investigating Officer to conclude the investigation at the earliest in accordance with law. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
