Mr. Gora Chand Samanta ..for the petitioner Mr. Manas Kundu Mr. Debabrata Mondal ..for the State This is a matter of conversion from CPF to GPF but the petitioner has not received the arrear amount for such conversion. The petitioner retired on 01.12.2007 and the amount is due from 2007. I am told by the learned advocate for the State Mr. Manas Kundu that Pension Payment Order (P.P.O.) was issued but now the petitioner wants that the said P.P.O. be withdrawn a new P.P.O after switching over from CPF to GPF should be issued.

I direct the respondent nos. 4 and 5 to look into the matter immediately and to take steps for issuance of new P.P.O. within three months from the date of communication of this order. The petitioner has agreed that he will not demand any interest on the due amount as it was made clear by this court that this court does not pass any order for payment of interest in such matters as the beneficial steps taken by the

state in such matters have protected the interest of the petitioner.

With the above observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of.
