Mr. Majumder, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that four of the accused persons are on bail and the petitioners are better placed than the other accused persons who have been granted bail. Learned advocate candidly submits that the evidence of the prosecution is over and date has been fixed for examination of the accused persons under Section 313 of Cr.P.C. on 16.12.2025.

Mr. Biswas, learned advocate, appears on behalf of the State and opposes the prayer for bail.

Having considered the belated stage at which the petitioners have approached this Court, I am not inclined to release the petitioners on bail.

Accordingly, CRM(M)1588 of 2025 is dismissed. In view of the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submitting that no defence would be tendered on behalf of the accused, the learned trial court would put in all efforts and as an outer limit pronounce the verdict by 15th February, 2026. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
