Petitioner is in custody for 191 days. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statement of eyewitnesses show petitioner had come to his matrimonial home and demanded dowry. When his mother-in-law i.e. the victim refused, he assaulted her with a knife resulting in his death.

In view of the aforesaid materials on record and prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the crime, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
