Saifuddin ...for the Petitioner Mr. Soumyajit Chakraborty ...for WBSEDCL The petitioner has approached this Court with the 11-09-2025 AKG Ct. 15 grievance that, despite having submitted an application for an electricity connection for her submersible pump set, no response has been received from the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL). Learned counsel appearing for WBSEDCL submits that the petitioner has already been advised to construct a meter room and to complete the boring works necessary for the installation of the pump set.

In view of the above, there is no justification to keep the present writ petition pending.

The petitioner is directed to complete the construction of the meter room and the boring works within four weeks from the date of this order. Upon completion of the said works, the petitioner shall inform WBSEDCL in writing regarding the same.

Upon receipt of such intimation, WBSEDCL shall cause an inspection of the relevant premises. If it is found that all formalities have been duly complied with by the petitioner

and the requisite fees have been paid, WBSEDCL shall ensure that the electricity connection is provided to the petitioner within three weeks from the date of such inspection.

Accordingly, WPA 21101 of 2025 stands disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
