Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioners are in custody for more than 60 days and pray for bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The victim is the mother of the 1st petitioner, the 2nd petitioner is the 1st petitioner's wife and the 3rd petitioner is the mother of the 2nd petitioner.

No complaint was lodged after expiry of the victim. When the video showing assault and torture upon the victim by the petitioners went viral, the witnesses have implicated the petitioners. The petitioners continued to torture the victim regularly which led to her death. Investigation is still in progress.

Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioners therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
