A copy of the same is handed over to learned advocate for the petitioner.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the victim and the de facto complainant in this case. She had alleged police inaction in investigating the case initiated by her. By an order dated 29.03.2023 passed by this Court in WPA 3611 of 2022, the investigating officer of Serampore Police Station was directed to execute warrant against the accused and in the event warrant could not be executed, to take proper steps for issuance of proclamation and attachment. Till date nothing has been done in pursuance of such order.

Learned advocate for the State relies on the report and submits that according to police, the warrant issued could not be executed against the accused. A prayer was

made for issuance of proclamation on 19.09.2023. On 20.09.2023 an order was issued for proclamation against the warrantee. Very soon steps would be taken to issue an order of attachment in accordance with law. It appears that the prime grievance of the petitioner of police inaction in respect of the case lodged by her has been redressed. A proclamation has been issued. Steps are to be taken for issuance of an order of attachment. Therefore, no further order need be passed in this regard.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of without any order as to costs.
