It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for more than four years. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record including the evidence of the victim lady examined as PW3. She has implicated the petitioner in the crime. Trial is in progress. Prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within six months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
