The facts of the case are similar to the case being WPA 21596 of 2024 (Binarani Mandal -vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors.).

The Court allowed the prayer of the petitioner and passed necessary order. The direction passed in the said judgment shall be applicable in the present case also.

The Conservator of Forests and Field Director being the respondent no. 2 herein to pay compensation to the heirs of the deceased Nirapada Mandal in accordance with the order passed by the Deputy Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Department of Forests vide memo no. 1/123199/2021 dated 26th February, 2021 at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
