The petitioners are the owners of the land in question. However, the private respondents had illegally encroached upon their land and constructed some illegal structures on the same.

Learned counsel for the respondent no.9 denies the allegations and submits that the dispute that exist between the private parties is purely civil in nature. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the relief that is being sought by the petitioners can be granted only by a Civil Court.

It appears that there exist a civil dispute between the private parties. It is alleged by the petitioners that their land

has been encroached by the private respondents. The petitioners shall be at liberty to approach the Civil Court seeking any relief in this regard.

However, the respondent police authorities shall keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
