It appears from the record that the petitioner approached the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur in Sonarpur P. S. Case No. 834 of 2023 and the learned Magistrate by an order dated 9th July, 2024 expressed dissatisfaction with regard to the progress of investigation and also directed the Investigating Officer to complete the investigation as soon as possible. Since the petitioner has approached the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur, it will open to the petitioner to pray for necessary reliefs before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Baruipur. It is well settled that a litigant cannot be permitted to pursue that two parallel remedies at the same time with regard to the same subject matter.

In view thereof, this court is not inclined to grant any relief in favour of the petitioner. Petitioner will be at liberty to approach the concerned jurisdictional court for appropriate reliefs.

The report of the Inspector-in-charge, Sonarpur Police Station dated 22.09.2024 filed by the learned advocate for the State is taken on record.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
