The petitioner is the wife of the deceased Headmaster of Paparara Junior High School, District: Paschim Medinipur, who died-in-harness on June 04, 1971.

The petitioner praying disbursement of family pension, has filed the instant writ petition. Learned counsel for the State submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, necessary Pension Payment Order has already been issued, learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the said submission.

WPA 21038 of 2023 is therefore disposed of with a direction upon the concerned authorities to disburse the family pension in favour of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.

The petitioner is at liberty to pray for interest for the delayed payment of family pension by filing a separate writ petition.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
